La cabine n&rsquo;avait aucune isolation. La couchette relevable permettait quelques rangements mais la trousse \u00e0 outil, le bidon d&rsquo;huile et le cric c\u00f4toyaient les quelques affaires que vous pouviez y caser. Renault consid\u00e9rant qu&rsquo;un chauffeur n&rsquo;avait pas besoin d&rsquo;hygi\u00e8ne, on pouvait bien dormir \u00e0 c\u00f4t\u00e9 du bidon d&rsquo;huile.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Le chauffage \u00e9tait mal con\u00e7u et on se trouvait \u00e0 rouler avec les pieds gel\u00e9s d\u00e8s le d\u00e9but de l&rsquo;hiver.<\/p>\n<p>La cabine \u00e9tait toute petite et les grands se voyaient oblig\u00e9s de rouler pli\u00e9s en deux pour voir la route. Des rideaux transparents permettaient de boucher les fen\u00eatres mais ils n&rsquo;\u00e9taient pas assez longs pour isoler totalement la couchette du poste de conduite. Et l&rsquo;on a pu voir ce camion sous motoris\u00e9 cr\u00e9er des bouchons sur toutes les routes d&rsquo;Europe.<\/p>\n<p>Malgr\u00e9 cela, ce camion avait quelques atouts.<\/p>\n<p>La puissance qui n&rsquo;\u00e9tait pas ph\u00e9nom\u00e9nale, en faisait un v\u00e9hicule id\u00e9al pour la messagerie. N&rsquo;oublions pas que ce camion avec ses 260cv se mesurait aux 300 et 350cv de l&rsquo;\u00e9poque.<\/p>\n<p>Une tenue de route que je n&rsquo;ai retrouv\u00e9 que sur le DAF 3300. Le freinage qui a toujours \u00e9t\u00e9 le point fort de Berliet \u00e9tait excellent.<\/p>\n<p>Surtout ce camion ne n\u00e9cessitait que peu d&rsquo;entretien ce qui convenait bien aux grosses flottes.
