Il developpe son activit\u00e9 avec les industries de la r\u00e9gion chalonnaise, sid\u00e9rurgie, produits chimiques, alimentaires, verrerie&#8230; jusque dans les ann\u00e9es 60 o\u00f9 la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 \u00e9volue consid\u00e9rablement pour devenir une entreprise de transport incontournable dans les ann\u00e9es 80.<\/p>\n<p>En 1975 Shell entre au capital \u00e0 hauteur de 22% et lui assure une rentabilit\u00e9 confortable, \u00e0 cette \u00e9poque l&rsquo;entreprise payait ses camions comptant. A son apog\u00e9e, l&rsquo;entreprise est l&rsquo;un des cinq premiers transporteurs fran\u00e7ais, avec 11000 salari\u00e9s et 9 filiales dont les plus connues sont Trans-europ, Regis Martelet, Beaune transports. Les transports Aubry sont alors une r\u00e9f\u00e9rence en mati\u00e8re de conditions de travail et de salaire, bien au dessus de la moyenne nationale.<\/p>\n<p>Malheureusement les convictions du patriarche conduiront \u00e0 sa perte, en effet bien que la plupart de ses enfants aient int\u00e9gr\u00e9 l&rsquo;entreprise, il n&rsquo;a jamais voulu passer la main, s&rsquo;est ent\u00eat\u00e9 \u00e0 ne pas vouloir s&rsquo;ouvrir sur l&rsquo;Europe et a fait de mauvais choix strat\u00e9giques, un v\u00e9ritable gachis. Alors que la plupart de ses concurrents ont diversifi\u00e9s rapidement leurs activit\u00e9s vers la logistique, le stockage, la prestation de service et se sont ouverts aux divers march\u00e9s internationaux, Landry n&rsquo;a pas su prendre le virage. La fin des Transports Aubry n&rsquo;est qu&rsquo;une succession de mauvaises d\u00e9cisions comme le rachat des actions Shell ou la vente au groupe Charles Andr\u00e9 de la branche pulv\u00e9 alors la plus rentable de l&rsquo;entreprise.<\/p>\n<p>Quand \u00e0 l&rsquo;aube des ann\u00e9es 2000, Landry alors ag\u00e9 de 83 ans, c\u00e8de enfin le flambeau \u00e0 son fils Patrick, les jeux sont faits, il est d\u00e9j\u00e0 bien trop tard, les caisses sont vides, les salari\u00e9s ne peuvent qu&rsquo;assister au lent d\u00e9mant\u00e8lement de leur entreprise. Ils vont de d\u00e9sillusion en desillusion quand se pr\u00e9sentent les diff\u00e9rents repreneurs comme Transalliance ou le groupe Giraud.
