Son travail de debardeur consiste \u00e0 choisir du bois, et l&rsquo;acheminer dans les scieries. Ces usines livrent l&rsquo;industrie locale, mais la destination principale est Paris, capitale de la France. <\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">Au d\u00e9but des ann\u00e9es 1960, les scieries vosgiennent peinent \u00e0 trouver des transporteurs. Maurice propose alors \u00e0 la scierie Houot de Gerardmer d&rsquo;effectuer des transports vers la capitale. Il ach\u00e8te un ancien GMC de l&rsquo;arm\u00e9e am\u00e9ricaine et effectue son premier transport. N&rsquo;ayant pas de licence de transport, tr\u00e8s difficiles \u00e0 obtenir et tr\u00e8s ch\u00e8res il sous l\u2019\u00e9tiquette \u201cexploitant forestier\u201d. <\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">Il devient officielement transporteur en 1964, et revient de Paris avec du pl\u00e2tre. La premier camion neuf sera un Berliet TLM, qui sera vite suivi par d&rsquo;autres qui enchainent \u00e0 l&rsquo;\u00e9poque 3 allers retours par semaine, les nuits devaient \u00eatre bien courtes. Un an apr\u00e8s le d\u00e9but de l&rsquo;aventure, il se diversifie d\u00e9j\u00e0 pour r\u00e9pondre \u00e0 la demande des clients avec du transport de fuel, et du vrac en benne. C&rsquo;est aussi \u00e0 cette \u00e9poque que les premiers Volvo sont mis en route. <\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">En 1970, l&rsquo;entreprise compte une vingtaine de chauffeurs, ils font partie de la famille et mangaient parfois \u00e0 la table familiale. L&rsquo;expension de l&rsquo;entreprise va a un bon rythme, Mauffrey ouvre sa premi\u00e8re agence \u00e0 Garonor en 1980. L&rsquo;entreprise reprend un bon nombre de transporteurs dans la plupart des domaines du transport. D\u00e8s 1997, les formations et sensibilisations \u00e0 la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 sont assur\u00e9es en interne.
